From Afar

This was a wedding that took a year to prepare and with much help and legwork from loved ones back home particularly Magma, my mom, who arranged everything on my behalf and Oliver's mom who did the same for him on his behalf.

This was also a budget wedding, meaning we have just the right amount to get hitched, no more, no less so extravangance was not an option but rather good, sensible and practical stuff is the battle cry for the get go.

But it was fun and made our wedding more meaningful and memorable as many things were done by us or by our close friends and family.

My thanks to those who have contributed to the fulfillment of out wedding, we are forever grateful to you all.

So December 1999 I spent New year's with my parents back in Manila, also to start the process of paperwork and preparations. We were moving to Paranaque at this time so it would make sense if we scouted there for wedding venue as well as reception.

Since it would make sense to have the reception near the church where our wedding will be held, we chose the Philippine Village Hotel to hold our lunch reception. It is just a stone's throw away from Our Lady of the Airways Parish.
